I am signing this petition on behalf of Marnita A. Bynum, a young woman who was murdered by her husband of 19 years Melvin Bynum, who is being held in your facility.

 

Melvin Bynum is scheduled for a custody hearing on July 1, 2007.  I am appalled that the State of North Carolina would even consider releasing him to a lesser facility. It is my wish that the State of North Carolina continue to hold Melvin Bynum in a Medium Facility or transfer him to a maximum facility where he belongs.
